The knowledgeable staff at Envision Eyecare is experienced in working with vision plans. We will work directly with you and your vision provider to submit claims regarding your vision care. We strive to ensure that you understand your coverage and will answer any questions you may have regarding your benefits. Many current vision plans are designed to cover basic vision-related costs, but not all costs associated with eye care. Plans often require a co-payment for an exam, contact lens evaluation, and lens options for glasses.
In-Network Plans at Envision Eyecare include: EyeMed, VSP, Community Eyecare, and UNUM.
Out-of-Network Plans include: Davis Vision (FEP Blue Cross Blue Shield), Wellcare (Premier Vision), Medicaid, Superior Vision, and Spectera Vision.

Flexible Spending Accounts
Many employers offer Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) options for employees. Sometimes these are referred to as cafeteria plans and are elective, supplemental insurance savings plans. They are designed to let you save money in an account, pre-tax, to pay for medical expenses such as eye exams, glasses, and contacts. Check with your benefits manager to ask if you are eligible for this program. These accounts can typically be used in conjunction with any vision plan benefits to offset out-of-pocket costs on your behalf.
Other Payment Options
Our Asheville optometry staff understands that cost is a concern when evaluating vision care providers. We do not want cost to be an obstacle to maintaining proper eye health and good vision. We accept various forms including cash, check, and major credit cards, as well as CareCredit.
