Dr. Eric Bryant

Chief Team Optometrist

Dr. Eric Bryant, originally from Raleigh, NC, practiced in Wilmington for a decade before joining Envision Eyecare in 2017 and planting his roots in Asheville. He earned his Bachelor of Science with Biomedical Emphasis at UNC-Pembroke before graduating magna cum laude as Doctor of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry. During his years of graduate school, he participated in a volunteer program called SVOSH to help provide eye care to the underprivileged areas in Costa Rica, alongside fellow graduate Dr. Larry Golson. This sparked a passion for helping those in need both locally and internationally. Over the past two decades, Dr. B has founded a diabetic eye clinic at New Hope Volunteer Health Clinic, awarded the Special Olympics Outstanding Volunteer Award, served as a Lions Club board member, and, since 2018, leads a volunteer vision brigade annually to Honduras with the Rotary Club of Asheville. Locally, he has volunteered at the ABCCM clinic when needed and in 2021 started a Needs Based clinic at Envision Eyecare a few Saturdays a year to help those in our local community who cannot afford eye care.

He credits his wife as his greatest source of inspiration- her drive, integrity, and vision continually challenge him to grow both personally and professionally. He is especially proud or their twins, who both graduated college and are building meaningful careers of their own. In his free time, he enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, hiking, traveling and volunteering.

He values building long-term relationships with his patients, taking pride in providing consistent, trusted, eye care that supports their vision and well being over a lifetime.
