I was born in Norfolk, Virginia. Because my dad was in the military while I was growing up, we moved every 3 years. However, from age 8 onward, I was raised in Morehead City, North Carolina, which is part of the Outer Banks.

My favorite part of any job is always the amazing people I have the privilege to work with. As you can see on this website, Envision has tons of diversity, talent, and personality. This translates to outstanding patient care and an amazing overall experience for both the patients and the team entrusted with their care.

I have most likely visited every country in the world that borders the ocean. I spent most of my adult life in the Navy on Aircraft Carriers. I know that all the countries I have visited have interesting and beautiful aspects. If I were to choose a favorite it would be Marmaris, Turkey, which is truly breathtaking!

I definitely enjoy Fall the most now. Finally, I get to put the lawnmower away, and any time spent outside is actually enjoyable instead of hot!

I was born and raised in the Great upstate of New York and realized and refined in the enchanted state of North Carolina. I’ve been in Asheville for almost 2 decades and our spring season amazes me everytime!

I am the GM of Envision and enjoy the continued learning about running a successful, small independent business. With my background in health and wellness, personal training/coaching, dance, and yoga instruction, I bring these elements forward to steward this business and team. I’m a solution-seeker, so figuring out what makes this place tick, from patient satisfaction and team engagement to advancement in our services and offerings and committing to our purpose of optimizing quality of life is really what it’s all about for me. I’ve been with Envision since 2015. We get the opportunity to serve our community at a high level while staying down-to-earth and real as the unique team that we are. Our team is engaged, intelligent, funny, and caring and it’s a joy to see them grow personally and professionally, aligning with our core values and being a part of the process to move us forward.

I’ve been a geeky glasses wearer since I was 7 years old. My uncle (and godfather) was my optometrist all of my life, so I feel a calling to this field and I know firsthand how important a quality experience of care can be. Can you imagine all the glasses I’ve had over the years? I wish I kept them all to see the historical record of my style and vision! It’s always been my favorite part of seeing the eye doctor, though now I know SO much more about eye health and how this precious sense truly keeps us independent in our daily lives.

I was born in Georgia, and then I was raised in west Texas. There are so many things I love about Texas, but you can’t beat the beauty of North Carolina!

I love being part of an enthusiastic team that cares for the eyes and vision of our patients. Sight is such an essential part of most people’s everyday lives. It feels amazing to help them see life to the fullest!

I recently started roller skating again. It’s not as easy as it was when I was a kid, but it’s still just as fun. I now have to put on my wrist guards, elbow pads, and knee pads, though!

I was born and raised in Upper East Tennessee.

My favorite season is Fall.

I have my Hypnotherapy license, and I can whistle really loud using my fingers.

My favorite cuisine is Japanese.

I was born in Thomasville, NC but raised in Hendersonville, NC & have lived there most of my life.

I love Maui Jim because they have super cool names on all of their frames.

I am most proud of joining this practice with absolutely no knowledge of anything related to eyes and have grown so much in my time here. I am very proud of everything I have accomplished and learned.

My favorite season is Fall & the end of the year in general. Lot’s to celebrate towards the end and look forward to the new year.

I was born and raised in Denton, TX; a small suburb of Dallas. Asheville reminds me so much of Denton with the food, music, and wonderful people.

I got my first pair of glasses in the second grade, in 1993! They were large, metal, with aviator-style lenses.

My favorite frame line now is SALT. They’re comfortable, timeless, and look good on literally ANYONE!

My biggest accomplishment so far is my relationship with my loving wife, Morgan (They/Them). I am so proud and thankful that I get to spend every day with my favorite person.

Spring. There is something so magical about the trees blooming in pinks and whites, and daffodils and lilies popping up across the city.

I used to be a professional dancer and the performing arts are my passion, especially the avant garde. I am on the board of the Asheville Fringe Arts Festival and co-produce the Asheville Butoh Dance Festival. I still teach and perform from time to time!

I had the opportunity to go to Cuba many moons ago! The dance company I was with got to perform with Cuban dancers outdoors for about 5,000 people. All of the folks in the town were so sweet and welcoming. We had great coffee, lots of parties and went to a lovely beach with turquoise water and delicious street Mojitos.

I love Fall and Halloween! The gorgeous colors, leaves crunching under my feet, cool air (yay sweater weather) and pumpkin spice everything makes me so happy! Halloween is my favorite holiday. I decorate my porch to the nines and always dress up for the trick or treaters.

I was born and raised in the Golden State of California, Los Angeles.

The opportunity to constantly learn and grow and the sense of accomplishment that comes from making a positive difference.

My all-time favorite show is King of the Hill.

My hard-working family back home always inspires me to be better.

I’ve been wearing glasses since I was in the 3rd grade, and for nearly 6 years I wore a pair of Silhouettes. I cannot tell you how many times I broke a nose pad or a whole temple, so they basically always sat crooked on my face.

I’m a summer baby so I’ve always loved the hottest time of the year, or the very end of summer when you can leave your windows open at night.

I love going to local shows, reading, thrifting, creating cool makeup looks, walking in nature, collecting & listening to cassette tapes, and writing letters to my long distance friends.

I was born in Boston, MA and grew up in Sylva, NC. Go Red Sox!!

I am an avid reader; I almost always use any spare time inside whatever I’m currently reading. I also love travel and music–my favorite way to combine the two is traveling to attend concerts.

In 2019 I went to Seoul, South Korea and to this day I dream about that trip. Amazing cuisine, incredible culture, and such beautiful architecture.

I was born in Lenoir, NC but raised in Jacksonville FL. I moved to Asheville NC back in 2021 and I’ve loved it here ever since.

I am a part of the local theatre scene here in WNC. I love doing performances of all kinds and I am a trained improv comedian as well! I also lend my voice to various voice over projects, including our own voicemail! Besides that I love spending time with my friends and exploring our lovely city!

My favorite season is Fall! There’s something about watching the leaves change and the smell of pumpkin spice in the air! Halloween is my favorite holiday as well!

It never ceases to put a smile on my face getting to help people see clearly and feel their best! When wearing something on your face every day, it’s important that everything feels and looks right. It always feels magical when we achieve that for our patients!

I lived in Taiwan for a few years while growing up so we traveled to NZ, AUS, Hong Kong, Singapore, Guam and Phuket for vacations.

I am a big fall and winter fan, I love the holidays with loved ones and colder weather! Everything covered in fall leaves, spooky costumes and holiday lights makes me happy (:

My two dogs are my entire world so any time I am not working I am with them: hiking, swimming at the lake, cuddling on the couch with a good book or movie or just watching them play in the yard with their neighborhood pals.

I have won Wordle in two guesses 70 times (and counting!)

I was lucky enough to be a foreign exchange student in Japan during my junior year in high school. This experience led to a lifelong love of international travel.

The French line, Sabine Be – I’m a big fan of bold colorful frames, and I love the playful luxury of this frame line.

I love hearing patients’ stories. We have the most interesting patients at Envision and I am honored to learn a little about their lives during our time working together!

Graduating from optometry school and becoming a doctor! I’ve worked towards this goal since 2016 when I first began working in eye care. I knew I wanted to become an optometrist after only 3 months of work, so it feels great to finally be at this point 10 years later.

I am absolutely thrilled to be leading our dry eye clinic! Dry eye was one of my favorite topics in school, so getting to work these patients every day has been so rewarding. I am extremely passionate about dry eye since I suffer from it myself- this allows me to really understand what my patients are going through. I love helping people increase their quality of life by improving their symptoms and slowing/stopping the progression of their disease. I love this specialty so much that I even listen to dry eye podcasts in the evening so I can stay up to date on all the new treatments available!

Las Vegas! My wife and I had a blast when we travelled there in 2025 to get married by Elvis.

I am great at pattern recognition and attention to detail- I am great at Where’s Waldo and finding 4-leaf clovers (my record is 20 in a single afternoon). I am also really artsy and have an easy time learning new crafts!
